As
a Brittish citizen, I first applied with TWA back in 1974.
I wanted a ground position, but I never dreamed that I would be
a flight attendant!! SO I thought, why not? I
flew to Kansas City, MO for my initial interview, and had my
final interview at the Breech Academy in Overland Park,
KS. It was a grueling six months before I was finaly
hired with TWA. When I got the news of being accepted into
the next class, not only was my training to begin, but my
wonderful 23 year career with a wonderful airline was to take
off. I met so many wonderful people in the class and
really had good training with TWA.
My first assginment was a flight from JFK to LHR (TW#100) and
then, back to JFK two days later. I flew that route a lot
from1974-1994.
When I first started flying, I flew in the majestic B-707-100
series a/c that was awsome!! I later went to the L-1011
and really fell in love with
that aircraft. I met so many wonderful people while
flying, and lost track with everyone I flew with. SO if
any of you former f/a's out
there remember flying with an English gent,( I went by the name
of Micky) I want to hear from you!! :) I have missed TWA
and have now retired from flying altogether.
TWA was truely my airline, and I was proud to work for them!! :) |
